Yes the gorge is easier to get to, and yes the routes at Goblin Coombe are generally on the shorter side, but rather than the constant stream of traffic down the A4, you get treated to a constant stream of flights out of Bristol Airport. Being an aerospace engineering student, as many of UBMC were back in my day, this is much better.
